Planning a vacation but a family member hates flying?
Why do some people hate to fly?

Are just to name a few reasons why some people hate to fly. For those of us who hate flying, there is not too much anyone can do to help. If it is due to just seat discomfort then flying first class can certainly help that problem.

Hate confined spaces? Once again, flying first class, choosing an airline carrier that uses large planes! Boeing 737 and above. Avoiding small planes would certainly help! If you have a travel agent or travel agency you use on a regular basis tell them your problem so that they can do their best to accommodate you.

Another good reason to try and conquer any flying fears you may have is how much time you save in reaching the desired destination. Flying to Europe, Australia, Asia, etc would take days if not weeks if attempting to reach there by ship.
If time is not an issue then these travel alternatives can be a great option if you're willing to try something new.

Many locations can only be reached by freighter or cargo ships and some of the luxuries provided by passenger cruise liners are not available.

If you are not one for those little extras and have an open time schedule, taking a freighter to an exotic location can be quite an adventure. Freighter travel is a less crowded and a cheaper alternative in many cases to air or cruise ship travel.

How about taking a cruise?
Great food, great entertainment, great places to visit!
